Hands down one of the best food places in KC, for real!! Been coming here as long as I can remember and everything is so good. They own the spice shop next door so be sure to stop in there as well. My usual go-to includes the gyro sandwich, but this time stopped in to try their new falafel sandwich cart, which was as expected, amazing! They have the best falafel and it's cooked to perfection. This will be popular spot during spring/summer market days.

This is one of the best Mediterranean places in the KC area that I've been too. The staff is always so polite and the food is always top notch. You can't go wrong anything on the menu. My go to is the shawarma sandwiches. The mint tea in the back is fantastic and such a nice refreshing way to warm up on a cold day. I can't say enough good things about this place!

Took my mom here while exploring the market. I was getting hangry and they delivered it so fast. Falafel is gluten free and the best I've ever had. Crispy on the outside, moist on the inside. Mom got the chicken wrap and loved it.

My husband and I were in the River Market area since I was attending a writer's conference nearby, and needed some lunch. The power and light district is pretty pricey for just a simple lunch, especially when you may not want junk food. So, after already having eaten nearby at the Opera House for breakfast, we wanted to try a new place in the river market area, and found this charming Middle Eastern place. We both knew we wanted to try their gyros, and we both did and tried the hummus on the side. The gyros were excellent, can't say anything else, but be prepared to have plenty of napkins. The hummus was good too, but not the best. I've had some that had more seasoning. The service here is good, and a nice bonus was that they provided fresh hot mint tea that was tasty.

I tried the chicken shawarma with the hummus and it was absolutely delicious! The flavor of the chicken with the yogurt spread paired so well together. The hummus was creamy and flavorful with the slices of pita bread. The staff is so friendly and the prices are reasonable. I would highly recommend checking out Habashi House!

Best beef shawarma in KC, located in the city market shopping/restaurant plaza. The meat is flavorful, the veggies are crunchy, the pita is fresh. What more can you ask for? There's free tea in the back with every purchase. Stick around and enjoy the ambiance of the Palestinian culture. Make sure you grab extra garlic sauce for dipping.

If you are looking for tasty and quick Mediterranean/arabi food this is the place to go. Super tasty and fun environment being in river market. The baklava was delicious as well and was very filling. The salad was excellent along with the chicken. The hummus is a MUST. Really can't say enough great things about the hummus. Service was super fast too! Free tea as well which I would recommend. Will continue supporting this local business!

What a great little place tucked away in the Historic City Market! The family owns the restaurant and the little grocery store next door. We popped in for a quick bite, and opted to share a chicken shawarma wrap. Each sandwich comes with a side of rice, hummus, babaganouj, salad, or falafel (you have to pick one). We went with traditional hummus just to be safe. Everything was fresh and delicious. The staff was very polite and the place was pretty clean. They have small containers to-go and some awesome tea in the back. Definitely worth a stop while at the market and looking for a little ME food!
